Students Donate Handmade blankets for Project Linus
Students in Ashley Shuma's classroom used their skills to handmake blankets for Project Linus. These blankets are provided, according to the organization's website, to "children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug...to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers". SASED student blanketeers Ben, Hannah, Ian, Jennifer, Kole and Yvette can be seen in the photo gallery making and delivering the blankets. What a great example of our students giving back to their community.
