DID YOU KNOW...
Students receive audiological services through a referral from their local school district or as part of their IEP. All students who reside within the 93 school districts that are part of DuPage/West Cook may be eligible for an Audiological evaluation.
AUDIOLOGICAL TESTING AVAILABLE
- Pure tone for hearing acuity
- Speech reception and word recognition
- Tympanograms for middle ear functioning
- Otoacoustic emissions for cochlear functioning
- Hearing aid performance
- Central Auditory Processing screening
ADDITIONAL AUDIO SERVICES INCLUDE
Evaluation of hearing aid function
Computerized programming of hearing aids and FM systems
Collaboration with students, families, school staff, private audiologists and agencies
