Overview and Assessment of RtI / Problem Solving at The Secondary Level
Administrators and team members who plan to attend RtI workshops
in the series designed
for the Middle School/High School level should attend this workshop
as a prerequisite to all other workshops. It is recommended that an
administrator accompany team members.
In the overview portion of this workshop participants will learn
the foundations of Response to Intervention within a Three Tier
Problem Solving Model designed for middle school and high school
settings. Teams will be asked to bring a number of items including
general education student data, the school improvement plan and
sample IEP’s in order to complete an assessment of need
specifically designed for the middle school and high school levels.
Teams will complete the assessment with assistance and plan for the
next steps, including prioritizing issues and determining specific
actions for the year.
The first secondary level coaches' and networking meeting will take at the conclusion of the presentation. The meeting is scheduled from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
