SASED welcomes our new Assistant Director for Human Resources

We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mrs. Lynn Schroeder as SASED’s new Assistant Director for Human Resources.  During her career Lynn has been a math teacher, dean, assistant principal, principal and most recently a superintendent.  She has direct experiences with students with disabilities as well as with cooperative based special education programs and services. Her administrative experiences have given her a broad knowledge of Human Resource functions, with specific understanding in the areas of certification, tenure and contract implementation.

We are confident that Lynn will be able to step in and immediately take on the leadership of the initiatives of the Strategic Plan related to the expansion of the orientation and mentoring programs for all employee groups, the ongoing collaboration with Programs and Services in the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and the continuation of a professional development program for our administrators.  We also know that Lynn will be able to build upon the positive relations established with our current staffs and with our communities to continue to develop SASED as the preferred employer for special education in the region.

We are very pleased that Lynn will be coming on board and we look forward to the opportunity to formally introduce her to all of you at the SASED Orientation Day on August 18th.

We also want to acknowledge our former Director for Human Resources, David Blatchley who has taken the position of Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in our member district Elmhurst 205.  We thank David for his service to SASED and wish him the best of luck in his new position.
