Business Department

The SASED Business Office provides the treasury, budgeting, purchasing, risk management, grant management, internal accounting, external reporting and board reporting functions essential to the operation of our organization.  In addition to the fiscal management within SASED, the Business Office provides leadership to our member districts.  This includes developing cooperative bids for member districts; developing and managing special education transportation service bids; and IDEA grant management, reporting and compliance requirements.  

The Business Office also serves as the fiscal agent for external grant projects including the Illinois MTSS Network, Project Early CHOICES, the Surrogate Parent Training project and the Midwest PBIS Network. Additionally, the Business Office serves as the fiscal agent for the DuPage West Cook Regional Special Education Association (DWC).  This is an intergovernmental agreement created to provide low incidence special education programs and services to students in 92 school districts located in DuPage and West Cook counties.   Specific responsibilities for DWC include budgeting, accounting for program expenditures and reporting at its Governing Board meetings.
