In partnership with the DuPage County Forest Preserve District, we will host our annual day of exploration and fun at St. James Farm in Warrenville, IL. SASED students and all students with special needs from our member districts are invited to join! Rain or Shine!!

 

 

About St. James Farm

The 612-acre St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville contains over 100 acres of woodlands, prairies, and wetlands. It is home to over 300 native plant species and wildlife. St. James Farm is located at 2 S. 541 Winfield Road, Warrenville,Illinois.

Over 1400 students have participated in previous outdoor education days. Under the SASED staff’s close supervision and the Forest Rangers’ watchful eye, students can participate in fishing, outdoor games, a wheelchair-accessible hayride, kayaking, and many more activities developed or adapted for our specific needs.

Parents/Guardians: If your child wants to participate in kayaking, archery, or other special events requiring a waiver, please sign the waiver and return it to your child’s teacher by April 19, 2024.
